Debitum Network – Platform Introduction
Debitum Network is a peer-to-business / business-to-business platform that was founded in 2018 and is based in Riga. The portal offers investment in loans made exclusively to small businesses.
So far, EUR 55 million has been invested on Debitum, so it is a smaller platform. Statistics on the site report around 1,700 active investors, an average yield of 9% and an average maturity of just over 100 days. Detailed information on its performance as well as statistics in progress are released by Debitum on a quarterly basis as part of its interim reports (for 3Q2021 here).

The individual loan originators (here called brokers) have nicely designed background pages, where you can find out not only an introduction to the originator, but also its basic numbers or what the loans are secured with. You can download a presentation or financial statements as well.
Among the functionalities of the Debitum Network is Autoinvest, which works by selecting one of the predefined strategies. There is no secondary market on the platform yet and the possibility to exit the investment early is only possible under relatively strict conditions. On Debitum you can invest in Euros and the minimum investment amount is 50,- Euros. The investor account is also limited, which can be opened with a minimum of 500,- Euros. Investors do not pay any fees. In addition to other collateral, the loans are secured by a buyback obligation in case of repayments delay of more than 90 days.
