InRento – Platform Introduction
The Lithuanian crowdfunding marketplace InRento focuses primarily on buy-to-let deals (acquisitions of properties for rental income) as well as selected real estate development projects. Founded in 2020 by Gustas Germanavičius, the platform has evolved significantly over the years – including the integration and merger with the real estate crowdfunding aggregator EvoEstate.
A major milestone was achieved when InRento was granted the European Crowdfunding Service Provider (ECSP) license, allowing it to operate under a unified regulatory framework across the entire European Union. The platform is officially supervised by the Bank of Lithuania.
While projects initially originated mostly from Lithuania, InRento has successfully expanded internationally. Today, investors can diversify across multiple European countries, including Poland, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Romania, and Finland. Poland, in particular, has become one of its largest and fastest-growing markets outside the Baltics.
How It Works & Investor Benefits
InRento specializes in asset-backed investments secured by a first-rank mortgage. Projects typically generate ongoing rental income, which translates into monthly interest payouts for investors.
An attractive feature for investors is the potential for dual appreciation: besides regular monthly interest, investors often share in the capital growth when a property is successfully sold or exited ahead of schedule.
Exiting an investment early is possible via the secondary market. There are generally no hidden platform management fees for holding investments to term, though secondary market transactions may incur a seller fee. Auto-invest functionality is traditionally absent, meaning investors choose and evaluate each opportunity manually based on detailed documentation, media, and regular project updates. The minimum investment threshold remains at €500 per project.
